Question RAM upgrade advice

Hello,

I'm just after a bit of advice on upgrading my RAM. I tried working this out on my own but I've just confused myself even more... I have 1Gig at the moment and was looking at doubling that, but now I'm wondering if it's worth buying two 1Gig sticks and making it up to 3Gig (if I'm right in thinking I have 4 slots). Here's my system:

Windows XP
AMD Athlon64 X2 Dual Core 4400+
ASUS A8N-SLI PCI Express Mainboard
1024MB DDR400 Memory - PC3200 (2x512MB)
300GB Serial ATA HD
256MB nVIDIA GeForce 7900GT

I have no idea about makes and models so if anyone has a specific recommendation it would be a great help. Thanks in advance.

I suggest you click on the link (below), run the scan, and either buy more RAM from Crucial while on their site, or use the part numbers to find it elsewhere for less money.

Thanks Cobracon,

I'd actually stumbled on the Crucial website but didn't know if it was any good.

Cheers!
