I've just disabled the Auto Restart and it now comes up with a blue screen. The error is "unmountable_boot_volume".

I think my Hard Drive is dodgy. I remember not being able to boot after I installed a second hard drive a few months back. I ended up formatting it and it's worked fine since.

Is it possible that knocking it causes this problem? And is there a way of fixing it without a format?

Hello spudguy,I have never known RAM to come with its own driver install disk and I have purchased and fitted plenty but hey I could be wrong?

Spud could you test one stick of RAM at a time?

Could you get the full error code on the unmountable boot please this could help on your issue.

I don't have that error anymore. I formatted my computer and now I have the issue of "Error loading operating system". I'm updating my Bios now to try and fix the issue.

Yup, just finished. Still no change. I've tried now with two hard drives and still nothing's changed. I've also tried changing both the hard drive set ups from auto to Large. All that happens then is "Disk Read Error, Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to reboot".

I'm going to try and install Windows 98 SE and upgrade. But my ISO (Lost my disk, still have the serial) won't be done until tomorrow. Any suggestions for the meantime?
