Still gotta say the X1650Pro is the best AGP card and best bang for your buck on that site

That or the 2400 or 2600. Both are good bets. I use the 2600xt and it works very well. Runs WoW, FSX, and more at decent framerates at 1280x1024. and if you are using photoshop, yes it will help speed it up.

Hi guys.
Just installed 2 1gb Corsair sticks.
PC is now registering 2560 using CPUz .
One questin , the previoussticks were loaded into bay 1+3 , so i loaded the corsair into 1+3 nd the old sticks into 2+4 . Is this the correct way to do it ? Or will it make no difference at all ?
According to Everest , the Pc without any applications bar Explorer was using 560mb / 23% . . . so if thats how much its using now then i presume it would of been near maxed out previously .
the Graphics card will have to wait unfortunately but will definately update it when i can .

EDIT . Also what will the Extra RAM help ? Will it increse the speed of changing web pages etc aswell , or just application uses ?

If you want dual channel operation, you will have to remove the old sticks, and put one of each of the new sticks in different colored slots ((ex 1 in yellow 1 in red) (if they exist). For dual channel, all stick have to be the same size. MSI boards are strange, in that they require for dual channel, sticks to be installed in different colors. Most manufactures have same color for dual channel operation. (though personally i belive MSI makes a little more sense, 1 color for each channel) Also, the extra memory should all around speed up system performance.

What effect does Dual Channel have?
I now have 2 X 1gb Corsair , 2 X 256mb Siemnens cards.
Both Corsair in green / Both Simens in Purple

Seems like it s much quicker wih Web pages aswell as usual navigation around pc / opening applications etc

Ok had a look , if i have it correct Dual Channel basically doubles the output of the RAM ? Allowing it to work quicker / smoother ?
And with MSI boards for Dual Channel to work i would need to put a 1gb stick in green and another in purple , and repeat with the 256mb sticks.
