Default Dual Channel mode

Right, im looking to improve my PC performance by upgrading the RAM i have done a test to see what i need and came out with this:

Standard Memory : 512MB (Removable)
Maximum Memory : 4GB
Total Memory Slots : 4
Memory Type : 184-Pin PC2700 (333MHz) DIMM
Notes : Modules must be ordered and installed in pairs for Dual Channel mode. All modules must be identical for Dual Channel with Dynamic Mode. When running at 800MHz FSB, DDR333 will clock at 320MHz only.

But i wasnt sure what dual channel mode means, does it mean i have to buy two of the same ram and put them into the 2 free slot? I am looking to increase my RAM by 1- 2 GB and would anyone recomend a website to get a good deal because im pretty low on money . If more info is needed here is the link to my PC:
Information and Instructions - I XTREME 6080 - P851001501 - iXtreme - platform_danube_ixtreme - Desktop

Thanks

Hi there, here's a great explanation of the dual channel architecture: Dual-channel architecture - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As for the type of RAM you require, it really depends on the usage of the PC. You could quite easily get away with "value" branded DDR RAM if all you want to do is increase the memory capacity. If you require more from the performance then you'll need to spend more.

This is the exact RAM information for your PC: Computer memory upgrades for Packard Bell iXtreme 6080 Desktop/PC from Crucial.com

Brilliant, thanks. I did try crucial before but didnt know the exact name of my pc so i done a scan and never got any results. So my RAM acts like two sets of twins, great. Thanks again.
