HI, have a look on ebay and you will see that you will want ddr3 memory, but you will have to get a newer motherboard, because the time you finish building this pc you will want to update it ...so sorry hope this helps,.... skenny.007

Your motherboard of choice will do just fine, as will the DDR2 Ram which it supports. There is plenty of DDR2 RAM available which is faster than DDR2 800 (PC 6400). Personally I use DDR2 1066 (PC 8500). Unless you plan to do some SERIOUS overclocking, really fast RAM isn't required anyway, and there are plenty of computers with hefty overclocks that run DDR2 800 RAM. IMHO, buying a motherboard which supports DDR3 is basically a hedge for the future.

Also, unless you're going to run Vista or the 64-bit version of XP, 4GB of RAM is overkill. Windows XP (32-bit) will only recognize somewhere between 3.0GB and 3.5GB of RAM, and runs well on 2GB of RAM.
