Default ram upgrade

Hi guys

My current AM2 system had 2x512mb DDR2 800 ram sticks in it. I just added 2x 1GB DDR2 800 ram sticks but cant really notice the differance, how can I check if it actually is making a differance. the 512 and 1gig are different makes does this make a differance

What is your pc's MOBO? it could be that it can only support up to 1GB RAM i could be wrong is there any type of program where you can run a RAM/HDD diagnostic tool?

I done this with my PB machine.

how can I check if it actually is making a differance
Run the following program with 512mb and then with 1024mb RAM. Check the scores and benchmarking for comparative results.
Futuremark - Products - PCMark05
the 512 and 1gig are different makes does this make a differance
If the RAM is of the the same type then a different manufacturer shouldn't make a noticeable difference.
