I upgraded my
RAM this evening form 512 of I think PC2700 mb to 2 gb of PC2100 (more of an upgrade of volume, I guess).
My Asus P4P800 Deluxe manual says ""Dual channel memory architecture. Supports PC3200/2700/2100 unbuffered non-ECC DDR DIMMs. 4 x 184-pin DDR DIMM sockets for up to 4 gb memory."
Here is a
link to the eBay auction I purchased this
RAM from.
They are two-sided modules, and my previous ones were single-sided, but I've read that doesn't matter.

So I went along with it. I don't know if that's the problem or not...
On startup, the pc checks the
RAM and outputs "2048 mb
RAM ok"
On the first time, It reached the sign-on screen, and loaded Windows and it worked for about 5 minutes until freezing point. Then I restarted it, and it froze after 1 minute. Final time, it froze after a few seconds, then everything turned off except the fans.
Any clues? Thanks in advanced.
