Default Memory help please

Ive currently got 2x 512MB DDR PC3200 CL3 RAM, and the system scan does not work on my system. I want 4gb of RAM, and was wondering is if the 512MB DDR PC3200 CL3 is compatiable with my system would a 1GB DDR PC3200 • CL=3 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC be compatible. Thank you in advance.

a DHE 500, Advent i cant find anything about it, and system scans dont work with it.

If i tried a ram stick from my other computer and it worked on the advent computer, does that mean any compatible stick with the first computer will work with the advent?

Is this what you're talking about: Advent DHE 500 PC Desktop Specs - DealTime.co.uk ??

From the rather skimpy ad, this appears to be more of a Home Theater/DVD player, with the 'computer' reference thrown in as an after thought. Have you tried contacting the manufacturer with information provided in the owner's manual??
