Default Video Memory

Hey guys,
I have an ATI Radeon X300 SE graphics card, with 128 mb video memory.
Everything was fine until a few months ago, when most my games stopped working.
I don't know much about graphic cards or anything like that, but it appears I dont have enough video memory anymore. Do you know what could have happened? I updated my drivers and stuff, I don't know how to fix this.

hi isis. Please try reinstalling your graphics card drivers, that could cause this problem.

I have reinstalled the card drivers, but there is no change.
I know it's the video memory because GTA Vice City tells me that I don't have 'enough available video memory'. Another game says that i need at least 12 MB of available video memory. I have taken a look at the DirectX Diagnostic Tool. First thing i noticed was that under the Display tab it says Approx. Total Memory : n/a'.
I then ran the Direct3D test (without knowing what it is) and it says the following: 'Test failed at step 8 (Creating 3D Device): HRESULT = 0x8007000e (out of memory)'.
I am really confused, but thanks for your help guys.

Hope it helps....
This is probably irrelevant, but I found on this Ubuntu help forum a guy with a similar problem, I thought there was a chance this could apply to me aswell, this is one of the replies:

By default, Wine sets your video memory at 64 MB. As Tux0r said, you can make a regedit that will set it to the correct video memory ammount:
  1. Run "regedit" in a terminal
  2. go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Wine and create a new Key named "Direct3D"
  3. In the new Direct3D key, create a new String Value named "VideoMemorySize"
  4. Change the value of the String to your actual video memory size
