No thats not it. Because if he had a stick o fPC6400 and a stick of PC5300, it would run both of them at PC5300. (i know from experience, because i had a gateway that origiannly had 1 gig of DDR-400, i added a gig of DDR333, and it slowed all of them down tp DDR333)

Depends on your motherboard, sometimes they're finicky and don't do it *shrug*

Well Im running the PC on both sticks at the moment and no problems wiht the bootup or anythin so far, gonna run Everst again and see what it says.

The stick I bought todays is a DDR2 667 and the one I already has is also a DDR2 666.

Well Everest is reading both RAM sticks and says they are the same type etc which is a good thing, but Windows is still saying I have 1gb of RAm, weird.

Is the whole banks and rows difference a potential problem?

Saying that on the Computer summary tab, Everest says that ' System Memory 1024 MB (DDR2-667 DDR SDRAM) ' even though it recognises DIMM1 and DIMM2, on SPD on the motherboard tab
