Hello,
Im just wanting some help about Memory for my Laptop.
I have an Acer Aspire 5633, here's the link for it -
Acer Aspire AS5633WLMi Laptop Core 2 Duo T5500 1024MB 120GB DVD+RW 15.4" LCD 1.3mp Orbicam Windows Vista Home Premium - Ebuyer
It came with 1GB but it said it is upgradable to 4GB using dual-channel support because it only has 2 slots.
But its a 32-bit Vista, so theres no point in putting 4GB in as it will only recognize 3GB.
So my question is which memory do I get, I have got a few options.
I went on the Crucial website and it did a scan and these were the results -
Memory upgrades from Crucial.com - Determine My Memory Needs (it may only show 6 of 13 compatible upgrades, so just click show all)
If you click show all, the third one down in the list is the one im interested in buying, which is this one -
2GB, 200-pin SODIMM, DDR2 PC2-4200 upgrades for Acer Aspire 5630 Laptop/Notebook, CT607534 from Crucial.com, so then my laptop would have 3GB installed.
But the
RAM what is already in my Laptop is'nt made by Crucial, would this matter, or does it have to be of the same make, i think mine is Samsung?
Also I dont want to pay that much so I started searching and found these -
Amazon.co.uk: Kingston - Memory - 2 GB - SO DIMM 200-pin - DDR II - 667 MHz / PC2-5300 - unbuffered: Electronics & Photo: Kingston,
Kikatek.com | (KVR533D2S4/2G) Kingston ValueRAM 2GB 533MHz DDR2 Non-ECC CL4 SODIMM Standard 256Mx64 200-pin Unbuffered SODIMM (SDRAM-DDR2 1.8V CL4) Memory Module, are these two the same as the one from Crucial is what I really want to know and would they work in my Laptop?
Hope you can understand that, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
