Currently my pc contains 2 gigs of
RAM as stated below. I wanted to upgrade it to
4 gb. But when I had put all 4 banks into their slots and tried to boot my pc,it would freeze when it was loading windows (you know the part when you see this green loading bar). So I tried a couple of things. First thing I tried was taking out the 'old' banks and putting in the new ones instead, so I could see whether the new banks would be broken or not. But they weren't, windows booted normally. After that I tried them one at a time, worked perfectly. Nothing seemed to be wrong with the new banks of
RAM. So I tried to change the timing of the
RAM in the bios to
4-4-4-12 instead of
5-5-5-18 and put the voltage on 2,3. It didn't work. Windows will not boot with 4 banks of
RAM in my
Mobo. So I'm really stuck here. Should I reďnstall Windows, change something else in the bios. My hardware had to be able to handle these
RAM banks. Please help me out...
