Default Memory installation problem.

Hi there. I have a problem which I will outline. It is occuring on a new computer, had it for about a month.

My motherboard, Gigabye GA-P31-S3L. I have 4 RAM ports, but only 2 work as far as I know. I'm trying to put two new sticks into the remaining two ports, and they don't detect, and sometimes make my PC freeze on boot. Not sure why they don't wanna work, that's why I'm here.

Thanks for reading, hope someone can help. Some furthur information: E6750 Core 2 Duo I think the chip is.elixir memory is being used in the two current ports, and is also being put into the new ports (that don't seem to work). Thanks again.

Heh, ok. I gave you the specification of the memory your should have bought for that motherboard as I suspect you don't have the correct RAM.

Specifically;
DDR2 SDRAM Frequencies: PC2-5300 and PC2-6400
Supported DRAM Types: DDR2 SDRAM only
