It's only reporting 768mb of ram?
That's not a problem with dual channel.

Turn the computer off, and ensure that all memory is plugged in securly. You need to use a bit of force sometimes.

Oh wait...I've just read that this motherboard of yours has shared memory.

This means it reallocates 256mb of RAM to your video card, which would explain why you've only got 768.

This will also effect speed of memory, and not let you use dual channel, unless you disable onboard video.

So if i disable my onboard and put a old card in it will fix it?
or should i put my old 512Mb 2x 256mb back in to make it 1gig?

In theory.
However, you might need to consider...are you going to get better performance out of your computer if you keep the setup now, or if you go to an older video card?

I've personally never used a computer with shared memory...i stay away from them as much as possible....
