Ok i went onto pc wizard and it said my ram was DDR2-SDRAM PC2-3200 (200 MHz)
then i did a crucial scan and it gave me this Each memory slot can hold DDR2 PC2-5300 with a maximum of 1GB per slot.* And do i have to install ram is pairs Yes. So if i buy 2 256mb it will work i cant buy 1 512mb stick.? and if i buy VALUE 512MB PC2-5300 at PC World - Buy cheap DDR2 Memory - VALUE 512MB PC2-5300 DDR2 DIMM MEMORY
but are get 2 256mb it will work?
p.s my mainboard is Packard Bell BV

DDRW ram is good with 1 Stick of ram. you can use 1x 512mb, or 2x 256.
you could even buy cheaper DDR2 4200 533MHz the slot will down grade the speed to match the rest.With DDR2 memory you can use fast memory in slower slot. But not slower memory in faster slot.
My board uses DDR 2 4200 memory, I have 1 GB DDR2 5200 in the slot and everything works to scratch. hope this helps
