Hi, I think this may be an issue with your RAM being bad. Follow these instructions in order:
  1. Download MemTest from here.
  2. Unzip it and put a blank floppy disk in the floppy drive.
  3. Run the install.bat file from the extracted files.
  4. Reboot your computer with the floppy in the drive and your computer should automatically boot from the floppy and the memtest will begin.
Let us know how it goes and if it returns any errors.

okay i ran memtest on the 512mb and it came back with two errors only on test 5
i have been told that this is common for my stick, and that i should ignore it, also i have not had any problems with it.

i ran the 256mb with memtest and no errors whatsoever...

hmmm, well thx for your help anyways
ill try putting them in together again, i might have put one of the sticks a little loose on the DIMM connector....
