Default What ram should i get?

i have a reallly old PC and am looking to upgrade my ram.

I checked the crucial memory check thing and it says i need the model PC2700

what does that mean exactly?

it's alot more expensive than this other one i've found and i dont wanna splash out £60 on RAM!!

Actually Athlon, PC2700 means that it is DDR memory at 333mhz - a quick google of pc2700 would have told you that, even if you didn't know.

Unfortunately due to the fact that DDR333 memory is now no longer in the main stream of things, it is only going to get more expensive, as it gets rarer. This is the way of the RAM in the computer world...the one item that appreciates in age as it gets older.

Unfortuantely you're stuck with spending a bit of money. If you let us know what motherboard you have, we can tell you exactly how much RAM it can handle, and how much we recommend

Let us know either way.

ahhhh thanks =] thats a bit bad hehe

i know that it can handle over 2 gig ram so i'm going to get two 1 gig ram sticks =]

why dont you give us the other specs, because there are just some cpu's that are just too slow to benifit from the extra ram back then, and what do you plan to do with the pc anyway?
