Hey saphcasmike,

Welcome to PCHF.

You'll need to ask for 4 x 128mb RIMM (NON ECC, RDRAM, 184pin PC800-45).

Hope this helps.

Well the 4 slots on your motherboard are likely to handle the same spec, so if one is a PC800 slot, then the rest are more than likely to be the same.

You can put 2x64 and 2x128's if you like, but try to stick with the Samsung chips if you can for the 64's, as they are slightly more reliable than MSI and come with heatsinks.

Most shops have stopped selling these, but when you buy the extra 128's, make sure they give you a reliable brand such as Kingston, Corsair or OCZ, and certainly don't accept unbranded memory, as these can become unreliable.

Hello,

Ive just won these on Ebay for £5.11

Samsung
256MB RDRAM 2 x 128MB RDRAM PC711 -

Model Number: MR16R0828BN1-CK7

Will these do and do I simply clip them in and thats it??

What difference will I notice to make sure they work??

Thanks a million!!!!!!!

Yep, I can't see why these won't work. If your board supports PC800's, then they should also support PC711 and PC600. The PC711's are a tiny bit slower than the PC800's but you probably won't even notice the difference.
