Red face Dual Channel 800mhz ADATA

Anybody heard or used adata ram?
i am in the market for some dual channel 800mhz ram DDRII. found this stuff online at a place in sydney for $160aussie dollars for 2 gigs, 2x 1 gig...
and also will i find that having a matched pair instead of a single stick noticably faster with the dual channel? and what is with the clock speeds of these things? e.g 5-5-3-2, "what does it all mean basil?" (austin powers)

thanks

by the way if u live round the sydney area chec this site out.... MSY - The Name you can trust - 10 years+ in computer industry

To be honest, i wouldn't touch that memory with a 20ft barge pole. With memory you don't want to go cheap...if you do...you're asking for a whole bag of worms to be opened.

I suggest OCZ/GeIL/Corsair/Kingmax

5-5-3-2 Is the latency/timings the lower the latency the better, all ram has this.

I also second GaR on OCZ/GeIL/Corsair though personally OCZ is king, most of it is fairly cheap and lifetime warranty, what more could you ask for?

The speeds get lower all the time...just gotta keep your eye on the CAS times when looking at the price as well

I'd say these are cheap
