the 24-pin newer ones are due to higher demands for dual video-cards and/or PCI express cards more video/processor power = higher consumption.
Please,please do not rush this purchase.
The ratio of "junk"
PSU's to good -quality is about 2 - 1.
You can really get burned if you jump @ the first one you see.
I cannot stress this enough-- if a weak
PSU generated ALL of these problems-- and it is likely...
why go buy more of the same ?
Yes it SAYS 400 W-- it might be fine--it might not. I am unfamiliar with shops in the UK-- perhaps I can call in some more experienced help...
