Hi, I have a Toshiba A35-S159 Laptop with a Pentium 4 chip and 480 mrg of ram. (Not sure why my system settings are telling me 480 instaed of 512?) Looks like I can add up to 2 meg. The system is pretty slow. If I buy and install two 1 meg modules will it make a significant difference?

Hi jim and welcome to the board!,

You're saying that you would like to add 2 one Gig sticks? That would definately increase the speed of your system.

Just make sure that you get the proper Ram for your particular system and you will be good to go!!

As bandit said it will make a large difference provided you get the right ram and buy matched pairs.

Hi Bandit,
Thanks, you're correct. two 1 gig sticks. (I'm old enough to rememer when 1 meg of memory was actually the norm for a PC AT, a big jump from the 640K that came with a PC XT.) Thanks for the feedback
