Default [Answered] Change BIOS or anything after installing RAM?

Hey guys, I am going to buy 1GB ram from crucial for my laptop (notebook) I have made sure it will be suitable for my system etc. But I wanted to know if I have to configure BIOS or any other settings on my system to configure the hardware upgrade?

Thanks for any light you can shed on this.

Nick

Hi Immortal,

A lot of the time, you don't need to do anything at all, in others, all you need to do is enter BIOS and then exit saving settings. There is no further configuration you will need to do to it, Windows will automatically pickup the upgrade without any problems.
