Sounds like unbranded memory? Unbranded memory is no good, poor quality, so I'm not suprised if your having problems. Try to buy memory from popular, good quality brands such as Kingston, Corsair or OCZ for example, but yep, I would get a refund.

I ran the windows memory diagnostic tool and it found no errors with my memory. Ive still sent both memory sticks back asking for a refund but is it possible that i have faulty drivers for the memory or there is sumthing wrong with the coneectors on my motherboard??

memory doesnt require drivers

There could be something wrong with the motherboard although it is less likely so we will see the result of this first

If there was no errors shown up in the memtest - this would have eliminated the motherboard too..

my guess is a bios update could help.
