i am trying to get my parents to buy Home Premium, and i will get half a gig now and another half later on. Considering that our new Gateway Desktop has 2GB DDR2 PC533 and it works great, i think PC3200 is good. The computer i ahve been talking about is the one in my pull down thingy

Howdy AW_3_3

pc 500 is not drr2.. its just ddr in dual channel. Just like pc 400..If you have DDR2 then you cannot use pc 400 as it is only 184 pin it wont fit..

Did not mean 533 (meant 500)

Here is DDR 400 (pc 3200)
Newegg.com - Buy Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!)

and here is 500 (pc 4000)

Newegg.com - Buy Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!)

DDR2 is 240 pin ram so before you order any ram you should check if you have either DDR or DDR2
