Question Memory problem - Delayed Write Failed

I recently re-formatted my computer, and installed all my drivers correctly (i think). And then when i started to restore my backed up files from another hardrive, the pc will freeze only leaving my mouse to move freely. This will result in me restarting my computer. This problem also occurs when exploring the internet or doing normal things, however is not as bad as it will unfreeze in about 15 seconds - seems like bad lag.

There is a popup that comes up sometimes, mostly when copying files and pasting them, which is called: Delayed write failed.

I think this is a memory problem, as the popup says something about the memory.

any solutions to fixing this lag?

thanks in advance

I would recommend running memtest to see if it is in fact a memory error.

Download and unzip this file and burn it to a cd (it's small so hopefully you won't lock up while it's burning). Then reboot your computer with the cd in the drive.
