Memory - [Answered] Where is all of my ram? posted in the Hardware forums; I have a pc with 512 mb ddr sdram. But my pc only says i have 383 mb and even worse i got a program to clock my current ram ...

I have a pc with 512 mb ddr sdram. But my pc only says i have 383 mb and even worse i got a program to clock my current ram i only top out at about 230 mb. I need to know how to find all of my ram or should i just go get some more? Thanks.

Welcome to PCHF chauncey!

A lot of computers have shared memory for graphics in which a portion of the computer ram is taken away for use by graphics, this is most likely the case.

I can check for you if you give me the make and model of your PC.
