Hi AW, first you need to make sure your memory can handle those speeds. and it's a bit more complex.

My old ram was 4-8-5-5
My new ram is 3-7-4-4

It won't make any noticable difference to games or applications - but if you're into benchmarking your system - it will bump your score up a bit...i dont think it's worth the effort.

oh well. i did it and it is handling it jsut fine. no BSODs or GSODs yet. Runs a bit better, because i had some cheap-o RAM. And the only options under BIOS were Normal, Fast, Turbo, 10ns, and 8ns. it was originally set to 10ns. i used to have it on turbo, but not sure what speed that was.
