Im after a cheap upgrade.
I have an ASRock K7S41GX
mobo 2GB max.
currently I have 512mb
ram.
the system was built for me .
What I have now found after trying to fit more
ram and getting three beeps is..
the processor has a fsb of 266Mhz
the current 512mb
Ram is 266/333 DDR.
the FSB jumper was set for 100Mhz!!
Ive changed the FSB jumper to 266 but still cant get the 1GB 333RAM stick recognised.
does this mean the new 1GB stick is
only 333Mhz not dual 266/333?
will changing the FSB jumpers to 333 speed up the 512mb 266/333 stick?
thanks
