Default RAM issue

hey,
i recently had problems installing a program and the error i got led me to investigate my ram. I'm using twin 2x1gig corsair xms. First i tried running the windiag program microsoft provided but that one just seemed to freeze up immediantly. I then tried memtest86 and it seemed to say every byte tested had an error. I then tried one that runs while windows is running called memtest and it said that windows only allows a certain amount of memory per program so i ran two at the same time. The first test started didnt come up with any error with the memory it was testing but i only ran it for about a minute because the second test immediantly was getting errors.. and so often i couldnt close the program because a new window kept poping up. My windows is usually pretty stable but i do get the blue screen of death a few times in a week, and usually two at a time, one after i reboot system. I was just wondering if this is for sure that my ram needs to be replaced, or if it could be configuration issues. any help is greatly appreciated

It sounds like it does need replacing, doesnt the corsair xms come with a lifetime warranty? I would recommend borrowing some compatible RAM for a while to check.

err just tested both sticks individually and both create errors.. could it be something besides the RAM? or just coincidence?
