Default [Resolved] memory

my computor is running very slow, so i clicked on bt diagnostics it came back saying that memory useage 65% how can i delete some of the things in the memory what i don,t need, as i don,t want to loose things i do need, plus will this make my commy run faster if i delete some stuff from the memeory. or do i need to do some-thing else to make it faster,

You can get rid of unwanted startup programs that take up memory (some will be in the notification area at the bottom right of screen).

To do this go to start > Run > type in msconfig > then go on startup and uncheck the entries you wish to disable but dont disable the wrong things (you can check the entries and what they are by typing them into google).

You will notice when you restart that a box will come up just accept it though.

This was presuming you are using windows is that true?

What is the size of your CPU and how much memory do you have?
To find out just right click My Computer and choose Properties.

that isnt very much RAM try what i suggested above!

Default slow commy

my commy is running slow i have got 2.66ghz 2,67ghz 2.24mb of ram, do you think it would be in my interest to up grade my memory and if so would it make my commy run faster, and how do i go on about up-grading my memory, can i do this myself or does my commy have to go into a shop as i don,t know about these things only had commy 12 months. any help and tips will be gratefull. thank you.

I am sure (and I hope you mean) 224(?)mb of RAM ?!

Sure, RAM is the cheapest upgrade and bang for buck will give you the best improvement in overall speed and responsiveness. Give us the full make and model number of the PC and we'll find what RAM you need to add and also whether your PC can actually take any more RAM sticks.
