Question [Answered] Adding RAM?
Hey guys, I'm thinking about adding some RAM. I have 1GB already. I have 2 slots open. I have a question though, does the Volt matter? I have a SSTL 2.5V. Also should I trie to go for 4096MB, or should I stop at 2gb?

Hi there platinum!

I think youll find the volts have to be the same. I wouldnt go poast 2gb because it is unlikely you will ever need 4gb at the moment as there isnt many applications that can take full advantage of it.

2GB will be enough. (unless your GarHar lol)

Lol upgrader

2gb is more then enough - and unless you have 64 bit windows, you'll be wasting your money going for 4gb (32bit windows only allows 3gb max).

Forgot that GarHar!

Why didnt they up it to 4gb so you can make use of dual channel (would have made more sense).

Not sure why they didn't do that upgrader...
programming limitations and such.

However, you can get dual channel - 3gb

2x 1gb and 2x 512mb
