Unhappy BlueScreen and Physical Memory Dump

Hi all

Just bought all new computer parts. New motherboard, CPU, RAM, Harddisk, Graphix Card even a new powersupply. After assembeling the parts and installing Windows XP I was installing Steam when the comp suddenly freezes and displays the blue screen after a few seconds.

Now it goes to bluescreen rather randomly, but usually when the comp is performing a task.

BlueScreen Message:
A problem has been detected and windows has to shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR

Technical Information:
*** Stop: 0x0000007A (0xE16204C4, 0xC0000185, 0xBF9215B6, 0x29D4C860)

*** win32k.sys - Adress BF9215B6 base at BF800000 DateStamp 3d6de5e5

Beginning dump of physical memory

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Found that:
"The Stop 0x7A message indicates that a page of kernel data was not found in the paging (virtual memory) file and could not be read into memory. This might be due to incompatible disk or controller drivers, firmware, or hardware." (Quote from http://www.updatexp.com/stop-messages.html )
But after I read the linked article I tried sending my motherboard, ram and harddisk back to the supplier to see if there was something wrong with them, but they were all sent back to mine reported to be fully functional.

Hijackthis log is attached.

Any help is very welcome

Hello Masquerade,

Welcome to PCHF.

Did you follow the link below it to: Troubleshooting "Stop 0x00000077" or "KERNEL_STACK_INPAGE_ERROR"

You can also try double checking to see if there is any problems with the memory yourself by downloading: |MG| Free Download - EVEREST Free Edition 2.20

Default How to fix

Hey I had the same problem. It's something to do with the HDD.

The msi k9n sli platinum has big trouble with the WD 320GB HDD.

You see I use to have a 320GB HDD in my computer and were having this problem. So I upgraded the HDD to a WD 500GB HDD and it fix the problem.

I'm going to ask MSI about this tomorrow.

I hope this shines a little light on the problem

Ok try getting rid of your temporary internet files, test your RAM, and Graphics card, try updating all your componets drivers. I herd of one case were a guy had a USB internet connection, and he just installed a ethernet NIC card and it fixed all his problems.
