Hi alley,

Welcome to PCHF.

Very few shops still sell this kind of RAM, but it looks like you have 1x256mb chip and 1 spare free slot? If so, your best bet is to take out your 256mb, take it down to your nearest computer shop, and say "Can I have another one of these please". If not, all the spec's, are here. You can but any RAM this is DRAM, DIMM or SDRAM. Needs to by 32bit, 60ns.

If you plan to buy online though use the crucial system scanner @ Memory upgrades, graphics cards, flash media, and usb storage at Crucial.com

Thanks for your replies, much appreciated. Looks like my system is too old, not even listed on the crucial system scanner! Might have to re-think getting a new tower. Thanks Again

Thanks Upgrader764. Did the crucial scanner but gets so far then comes up with "We found some data about your system, but we need additional feedback in order to recommend compatible parts."
Then asks for the manufacturer and model number in order to get further info, model number still not one listed though unfortunately, guess again that its just too old??
