Default unable to read / write to memory

Hi...

I keep having these weird chrashes playing games like WC3.
Everything seems fine and then all of a sudden my comp. crashes to desktop with a critical error box - telling me that "memory could not be read" or "unable to write to memory".

I have tried everything I know - but it keeps coming back

- I got 1024 mb RAM ( which I resently MEMtested - and they're fine )
- My virtual memory is set to max
- I got a ATI radeon 9250 /w 256 mb

so I should have no problems running a rather small game like warcraft 3

can anybody help me?

thX in advance

Hey there welcome to Pchf el-guapo ,

could you post the make and model of your pc ( unless it's a custom built pc then just post the motherboard make and model.)

Are you also are you up to date with " Service Pack 2"

thx for the quick replies

I do have SP2 installed

my machine is AMD Sempron 2200+ 1.51 GHz

My motherboard is an ASRock - but I don't know the exact make
( the support CD says AMD SIS - AS19b )

If that ain't it. Then how can I find out?

if you havea manual for your mobo then that will tell you the model. If not it will be printed on the mobo itself.

or you could use some sysinfo software to determine the model but they arent always that good at detecting motherboard makes and models.
