Hi i was told that if i upgrade my ram my games will run smoother. i was hoping for 2gb ram. but the problems are.
1. i do not no what ram looks like
2. i do not no how to measure out 2gb of ram.
3. i do not no what is the best kind to purchace.
i would love to go into a store and ask them to purchaces 2gb of there finest gameing ram but id like to no what im talking about so that i can look for better prices on the net

1, here's a picture! (two different types).
2, it depends on how many free slots you have on your motherboard. If you only have two slots, then you will need 2x 1gb.
3, you'll need to know more about your system, as there are lots and lots of different types of RAM you can buy, and only a few that your system will actually support. It's probably best to take your current RAM in, and ask for the same type!
Her is how you figure out how much RAM is in your system right now.

Start > right click on "my computer" > Properties > your system specs will show up on the bottom.
the frist way you go about finding out what kind of RAM you need is check the RAM in your system. some RAM is labeled on the sticked. if not then check your motherboard manufacturer website. they will have the specs of your RAM and what you need.
A good way to find it out would be though your Motherboard manufacture website. frist lets start off with the specs of your machine. tell us as much as you can about your pc.
