ok, i was able to "open with" unlocker the file, i got a list of explorer.exe, rundll32, and the unlocker tool, a list of active processes basically, but i dont understand how that would help, its not a process thats the prob. sry, im so confused, if someone could possibly give a list of commands fill in the blank like perhaps i could use the cmd route...ty

Hya Chris.

I'm pretty sure one of these apps should be able to delete that file for you:

Delete FXP Files
DelinvFile - Utility for Deleting Invalid Files and Folders
Cannot delete file or folder

I've posted this link several times this week, MoveOnBoot this is far simpler to use than the others. Install it then right mouse click on the file, from the context menu (Copy/Move/Delete on boot) select Delete on boot. No more problems...

Download that...keep it
It'll delete any file. Check the box end explorer while deleting. If it can't delete it, click delete on reboot. Next time you reboot, it'll delete the file before windows can even lock it up.

And no installation needed
