Hey guys, Im a noob so please be gental.

First off heres my system:
AMD Athlon64 X2 Dual Core 4200+
Asus A8N-Sli NF4 Premium
Twinx1024-3200c2pt

Can someone please tell me if my ram is dual channel? I think it is but when i install into the slots on my motherboard which it says to (A1+A3) for dual channel ram, My pc wont boot and i get one long beep and two short ones. If i install ram into slots (A1+A2) it boots fine.

Also on bootup screen it says DDR333 Single Channel 64 Bit
Screen shot:

Also this ram runs at 200mhz but when i open cpu-z it stays around 158mhz.

Here is the Ram settings in Bios aswell.

Are these setting correct?

If my ram is dual channel could there be a problem with my motherboard?

Thanks in advance

hi yozz,

i had this problem when i first installed the memory in my motherboard, but now i have 4gb dual channel...can you tell me which ones you've plugged the memory into...i know you said 1+3, but which 2 are those "supposed" to be?

Are they the blue ones or black ones?

Hi GaRHaR

My motherboard manual says for dual channel memory to install it in either the two blue slots or two black slots, but when i do this my system wont boot and beeps.

my pc will only boot when mem is in A1+A2 which is a blue and a black slot.
