Default PC3500ll vs PC3200

Hi I'm building a new system (haven't done this for a few years so I'm playing catch-up with the technology) and had a memory question. More like an opinion poll really...

System specs: Asus A8n32-SLI mobo with Athlon X2 4400+ 2.2Ghz cpu, dual Raptor 150gb HDDs in RAID0, 2x eVGA 7800GT CO vidcards in SLI mode.

While this will be primarily a gaming system, I do ALOT of photoshop and video editing (and would like to do even more!).

My question is, for the money I would be spending on a 2GB matched pair of Corsair pc3500LL memory I could get almost 4GB of PC3200 RAM. Am I better off less of the faster memory or more of the slower...?

I currently am using only 512MB of PC2100 on a 1.33GHz athlon system so whatever I choose I know I'll be happier. I just wanted to know if I would miss the extra speed or the extra GBs first...

Oh, one more thing...

I don't plan on overclocking, but I might in the future.

Oooohh..the old "quality versus quantity" question, huh?

You're going to get personal opinion here and mine is Quality every time If you buy quality in the first place then, when your budget allows, you can add more of the same.

I was thinking along those lines too. I was wondering, though, if the PC3500's speed only comes into play when it's overclocked or if it's there right away. I'll have to go back and check Corsair's website again...
