Default Serious help needed- usb pen drive

Earlier today i finished putting in my new motherboard, i was on another pc and getting a driver for HP network, i put it on my pendrive (samsung- 1GB) then removed the device safely, when i got to my pc it would not pick up the usb device, i thought that i had wired new motherboard wrong but i tried it in 3 other pc(in different usb ports in each pc aswell)

it just doesnt pick it up like it is dead, the light does not come on, or is not piked up in my computer.

I realy need the work off it, anybody got any ideas or been in the same situation, Please help

Thanks

Could be that the USB drivers are in some way corrupted. Go into your Device Manager and remove all of the USB devices - re-boot and let Windows re-discover them..it should work.

Ahhh..then we may have found the problem

As for getting the data off, if the pen drive is not functioning then I think you are going to find it almost impossible.

That sounds indeed like bad news for you p1ppy!
It's strange that is happened even though you removed it safely.
Seems like somehow it got damaged inside.

As said by bluefish your USB is busted. It could be any reason, such as static electricity. Well at least that is how I got my rams busted
