Ok, I tested it with one stick this morning, and after a little while the screen would go black for a second, and then flashed to the desktop, where I seen something about my ATI card having an error, but before I could read it clearly, it switched back the the game. While back in the game I could not minimize the game to get the the desktop, or Alt+tab to it either, and before i could close the game, the screen went black again, and the monitor light flashed on and off.

I then switch the ram out, and when I restarted, my resolution was changed, but no error messages came up. I have class right now, and will test this stick of ram when I get back and will post my findings then.

Could this also becaused by an error with the video card, it is a ATI Radeon 9800PRO 128MB.

I also ran memtest, and I don't believe I seen any errors, could you tell me what I should be looking for while running the test.

If you ram would have errors it would show clearly on screen. But i thought you maybe had an older vga card , then it would be normal that newer drivers wouldn't work to well. But an 9800pro shouldn't have any problems with the latest drivers.

Ok, I uninstalled the driver, and loaded on the ones it came with, and it was having all kinds of problmes, random shutdowns, while just windows was running.

I got a old GeForce MX 440 64MB video card from a friend and installed that, I have been played the game for about 3 hours total without a single problem, tho it is a little laggy at times, it plays just fine.

Any guesses as to why that happened? And what could fix it?

Have you tried the Omega drivers i posted above? But im beginning to think the radeon is faulty , can you test the card in an other pc?

When the problems started I switched to the omega drivers, and the problems kept happeneing.

I think my roomate will let me try it out on his computer, I will try doing that tomarrow, or take it to my college's lab and test it out.

What card would you recomend for a replacement if the card turns out to be faulty? I think next time I am going to try an Geforce, I would spend up to $150 tops for a card, and i only have an agp slot.
