Default Help with reinstalling PCI device

Ok the ram that wasnt seen with 2000.... I found out why. I recently upgraded to windows xp (which i love) I also have the professional version Anyways when i put in the ram I got an error. Here is exactly what im talking about.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/330181/en-us

Now in step 2 to solver this

HTML Code:
If Windows starts successfully, shut down your computer, and then reinstall the PCI devices one at a time. Start Windows after the installation of each device. When you install a device that causes the issue that is described in the "Symptoms" section, remove that device, and then continue to install the other PCI devices.
How do I reinstall the PCI devices. What does the microsoft tutorial mean by that?

Default PCI Install

Hi Ello,
Welcome to PCHF!,
What they mean is that you should physically remove all the PCI cards (except the Graphics card, if you do not have on board ) then one at a time shut your pc down, install the card, start up your pc and install the drivers for the card. When you get to the card that is causing the problems let us know and we'll see what we can do about it.

yea its one of the sticks of ram thats the problem. If I put in my 512 meg ram I get this error. If I put back the old ram stick it works fine. So it is my 512 meg ram thing. Also when I put in the 512 meg of ram my computer dosnt even boot. It just sits their on doing nothing.
