Hey Guys!

I'm a beginner when it comes to computer building and upgrading etc, and I need to aska few questions about RAM.

1) To upgrade the existing RAM, does it need to be from the same supplier, for example if I have an Intel 512MB RAM slot thingy, do I need to get another or could I use a BioX 512MB RAM for the other slot?

2) Is there such thing as OVER ramming? would the computer blow up with too much RAM?

3) Do you need to install any drivers when adding extra RAM into your computer?

1) Nope - altho it depends on your PC make sometimes, what make and model of PC do you have?
2) Nope - altho your motherboard WILL have a max RAM limit
3) Nope.

I have a MESH computer. Motherboard model number is: P4S333.. :-D

Sure, you can put as much as 3GB of RAM onto your motherboard.......

Wow, thats pretty inpressive, which brings me onto 1 final question. If my motehrboard is capable of 3gb of RAM. Why do suppliers such as Dell only allow you to upgrade to the maximum of 2gb?

I would think that the boards they choose to supply only allow for that amount of RAM. Don't know why....give Michael Dell a call
