Well for Dell their proprietary board's are cheaper so the only put in 2 to 4 ram inserts but have different Bios that will only expect 2 gigs unless you get like an XPS but you would be better off going and buying an Alienware PC for the price of a XPS . Only problem I have with Dell is their motherboards and Power Supplies.
