Default added ram = freeze?

well i have 1.25 gb of ram(512x2 , 256x1) and i just added the 512, but ever sience i put it in, when ever i go to play a game my pc freezes, i took the new 512 out, so now i have 768 mb of ram, and it dosent freeze, anyone know why?

ou shjould download and run memtest86 to see if there are any problems with your memory

could it be somthing elce that could cause it to freeze? i will run memtest when i go to sleep.

yes, its the same stick as the 1st 512.

Well it would point out to the 512 meg stick of ram since when you took it out the game didnt freeze!

true. ram is probley messed up, ill buy a diffrent stick.
