Default [Fixed] Checking NVRAM has changed

when i would boot up my computer, it would check the NVRAM and reach 131072kb, but now for some reason it only checks about 6545kb or something like that.. it is causing my pc to be very slow, and all sorts of errors come up and close programs whenever it wants to.
i think once or twice it checked 131072kb and it was fine, no errors and it wasnt slow, but the only problem was that it would just restart itself without any warning..

im not really a technical person, and dont know too much about computers, but possibly somebody could find a problem and explain how to fix it? or just explain the problem and i could find out how to fix it from somewhere else..

thanks alot guys, Gaz

Hi there.

You can turn off NVRAM checking in the bios - there will be a setting to do this. Go into Windows and check the amount of RAM you have by right clicking on My Computer and then properties.

i think i know what happening.. it seems that a slot of RAM, which i assume is 64mb, isnt working. cos my computer used to only be 128mb RAM (yep its old) but now its gone down to 64mb..
maybe theres something wrong with it, which is why, when it does manage to load, the computer restarts?
yet i look in my pc and theres only one slot being used, even though im really not quite sure what it is..
told you i dont know too much

great to hear it's working again.

If you celebrate it, have a great Christmas!
