Ilya,

Not really. I have run it on my machine for 4 years, not a single infection. The only thing that buying the proprietary version would do is support Girsoft

Thank You. AVG is good for me!! If you say it's as good as Kaspersky if not better, it works for me. Thanx.

Is that good?? Do I need Lavasoft Ad-Aware Pro (with Ad-Watch that monitors your registry) with this installed?? Or will do the job in finding all of internet threats and other malicious stuff left from browsing the net? Would I just do a scan as I would to detect viruses?? Thank You

I would take that if you feel you need a higher level of protection all 'round. It's a great product. You will not need Ad-aware with it aswell.

Get Eset's NOD 32 Security suite here, you'll find nothing better, ask several people.
