I shop at Amazon online now and then.
Just a word to those who do shop there, have you noticed there Prime Membership offer?
It says try for free.Well the first delivery is a trial offer. So you test there Prime Delivery Service just once to see how good it is?
You get your delivery free of charge and think hey this is great, speedy free delivery.
However there is either a catch or they are just messing up on there Prime Membership or just not telling us the truth.
I tried this service as I do not shop a lot on Amazon and thought there Prime Membership is realy no good to me as I would not use the service very often. But hey test for free,no delivery charge.
Boy was I wrong.
I was checking my bank account online and could see a pending payment due to go out.I thought this must be a bill such as electricity or gas.The pending payment was not listed anywere.
So I waited nearly a week then the payment was taken from my account.
Please bare in mind I used the trial service of Prime back in early January.
There yesterday on my bank account statement was listed:
CARD PMNT 16FEB PRIME MEMBER F £47.97 amount deducted from my account.
So I ring my bank and ask them what this is they said it was an Amazon payment for something called Prime.
Ok the penny dropped.
Now I did not sign up and agree to the Prime Membership I only clicked yes I want to try this service for free this time only.
Hence a strong email sent to Amazon requesting my money back.
I rececived a reply today saying as I had not used the Prime Membership other than the free trial I would be fully refunded.
However no reply to why they actualy took my money in the first place when I did not agree to actualy signup, pay and use there service.
Just a note on beware on there Prime Service offer,it is not exactly a free trial this time only because within a few weeks your bank account will be reduced by £47-97 without your permission.
To those who took advantage of the free trial I would be checking your bank account for cash paid out for this service.Ask for a refund of your money.
However if you unexpectantly used this service other than the free trial without checking your delivery status and payment your cash will be kept by Amazon.
Prime FREE trial is not exactly free you are actualy signing up for this offer via clicking the free trial.
Amazon shoppers beware.
