no doubt this has been implemented to curb illegal file sharing. the idea that a company like Virgin can't invest more money into providing a better experience for their customers rather than resorting to such restrictive policies doesn't seem right to me.

if i were with virgin i'd be looking elsewhere by now.

This will help determin when to stop downloading so your speed is not reduced.
