I have 3 Dell desktops, 2 Compaq notebooks, 1 Compaq desktop and 3 whiteboxes that I built. Oh, and an Acer notebook.

The Chinese made my current collection, piece by piece, and I put all 3 of them together myself. Of course there were these folks along the way called retailers who added absolutely NO VALUE to the parts, but they raised the price anyway.

Ain't the "Free" Enterprise system grand?? I'm still waiting for the "Free" part because after all, I've paid enough for it.

My computers don't have a name brand since they don't know their father, so I made my own up: #1 is Giga-(insert general term for female dog here), #2 is Smarty, and #3 is Marty. We're just one big happy family. BTW, my daughter thinks I'm nuts for naming them; anyone care to wade off into this??

FWiW, my 1st computer was a full-fledged store bought deal around 1999. It was an eMachines 500is, and it taught me everything I DIDN'T want my next computer to be like. If you want a good laugh check it out: eMachines etower 500is Product Information

I built my latest computer(see my PC specs).

I have 1 Dell upgraded of course.

2 Compaq,s,upgraded of course.

1 toshiba laptop.
