This may be old news to many, but I just heard on MSNBC that Microsoft will stop selling XP, forcing use of it's much maligned Vista Headache. I'd rather have my teeth pulled with dirty pliers than switch to Vista if and when the time arrives.

Yup, no doubt you do, but for every 'OK!! Vista is Great' there are many more "*&^%$#@!" VISTA's!! I'm of the opinion Vista was released waaaaaaay before it was debugged sufficiently, and also requires too much of your system's resourses. With your training I'm sure no computer problem is much of an obstacle, and I mean that in a good way.
I realize there are folks out there who feel like turning on their computer is a major accomplishment (I'm just above that level), but based on the sheer number of HELP requests on forums all over the Internet due to Vista problems, Vista is too user intensive, and runs some of the forum workers ragged.
Hengis, I think $500 is a little cheap. My price will be $1000 EACH for my 3 copies. I'll offer a deal though, whoever buys all 3 at once gets 'em for $3500 plus free shipping.
JB, no doubt there will be a selldown period as the already supplied copies are bought up, and Microsoft has already committed to a period of support. I just hate the idea of them pulling the supply plug on XP with Vista as the only soon-to-be alternative and the possibility of Microsoft 7 waiting in the wings with who knows what kind of baggage.
Just blame it on me, I'm a pessimist with a great sense of humor. (But I'm worried about it...........)

If you're talking to THIS big guy, my pockets aren't bulging yet, but let me reel in a 'fish' and they will be.
Hey, get a load of my download speed. That's impossible with 6Meg service, and always reads really high with that particular server.
